REFLECTION

Are you breathing just a little, and calling it a life?

ABOUT

Come As You Are

Succulents%20_edited.jpg

Here to hold space for you.
To hold space for all parts of you.
without judgment, without urgency.
Space for the expected & the unexpected.
Space to discover the value of curiosity, compassion, & connection.

THE VALUE OF THIS SPACE

Your presence.
Grateful for the opportunity to share space with you.
It's a journey towards discovering who you are.
What matters to you. What you value. What you are most protective of.
What beliefs you hold about life.
What beliefs you hold about yourself.

It's a journey towards wholeness.

Starting with a willingness to show up.
With time, trust, and openness-

you can learn to build capacity to hold discomfort,
to pace with grace,

and to lean into both hard & healing moments along the way.
The art of exploring your internal world
& the development of your own sense of self.

Bringing to light your most inherent desire as a human-
to be seen, heard, known, accepted, and loved.

It's a journey towards understanding parts of you,
and the very value of their intentions.

Discovering unmet needs, longings, & fears.
Parts that once helped you survive in this life

but now feel like sources of bondage and sabotage.
Developing new circuits in the brain based on what is true now -
Distinguishing past from present.

Being drawn toward awareness & connection with your nervous system.

I value the space for relationship to be designed,
for the opportunity to offer counsel,
to embrace the reality of suffering with you,
to be an empathetic witness,
& to lean in with a spirit of care.

CREDENTIALS / EDUCATION
THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

In working with the adult population; both individuals and couples,

I integrate clinical work based on practices such as:
attachment theory, polyvagal theory, trauma informed,
and
the mind/body connection.

I offer counsel through the reality that
what we experience lands in the body in ways that hold meaning.
What is felt is held & carried with you.
I recognize the layered impact of trauma,

unmet need, grief, shame, attachment wounds etc.
And seek to invite curiosity, compassion, & validation to join the space.

I hope to join with you in the process of meaningful change.
What it look like to live in a different way?
A way that aligns with your values. A way that aligns with who you are.
A way that allows permission for wanting / desiring / needing / feeling.

With sensitivity and respect,
I also integrate the role of faith into the therapeutic process.
I recognize the value of truth and prayer within healing,
and seek to bring hope to the hurting.

It's a privileged to be invited into your story,

as you bravely and humbly - pursue wellness.

COST OF SERVICE
EXPERIENCE

My clinical experience has focused on working with those

struggling within their own stories.

Many who deeply desire healing, hope, and wholeness.

I recognize that the pursuit toward wellness can be so hard,
but the value of the pursuit is worth it. I have worked alongside of those impacted, in varying degrees, by trauma, eating disorders, anxiety/depression, attachment injuries, marital conflict, grief/loss,
broken relationships, addiction, and other mental health issues.

Before establishing my private practice,

I was an independent contractor within a Christian practice
and
a therapist in a local counseling agency.

I worked in inpatient psychiatric hospital settings
for over 10 years throughout my pre & post graduate years.

I was committed to youth group leadership for 10+ years at my church, developing meaningful relationships that have continued for decades.

I previously taught as an adjunct professor within

the Psychology department at Cairn University -
& found significant value in the integration
of both clinical & academic work.

I appreciate, with purposeful intention,
opportunities to educate others about mental health,
and to share, with discernment, chapters within my story.

I speak from a place of humility and gratitude when it comes to

my own life journey - the impact of trauma, loss, fear, shame,
and my own eating disorder battle that nearly took my life.
